The Canadian Federation of University Women was founded in 1908. It is a voluntary, non-partisan, non-profit, self-funded club of approximately 250 members. They are active in supporting higher education for women and in advocating for women's rights.

These awards have been established by the CFUW 51³Ô¹Ï Scholarship and Bursary Committee through the generosity of its members.
