Tanatswa is a MASc student in Civil Engineering at the 51³Ô¹Ï, researching how wildfire smoke impacts indoor air quality in Canadian buildings. Her work involves deploying 120 low-cost sensors across homes and public buildings in 51³Ô¹Ï and Edmonton to study how building features, occupant behavior, and ventilation systems influence smoke infiltration. 

She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and gained hands-on industry experience through an internship at an infrastructure consultancy, where she was involved in structural and civil design projects. Her research interests include indoor environmental quality, air pollution exposure and sensor-based monitoring
