Sophia Carodenuto is a political geographer specializing in environmental governance and global food systems. Dr. Carodenuto’s research and teaching examines how trade, public policy, and political economies shape land use, social justice, and ecosystems. Her mission is to support ethical production and consumption to improve lives and ecosystems in our increasingly interconnected world.

My research explores how global systems – such as agrifood commodity trade – shapes environmental governance, livelihoods, and land use.
