Katelin Albert
Katelin Albert is a medical and health sociologist. Her research interests include:
- vaccination politics
- health behaviours and health decision making
- sexual health and sex education
- gendered health technologies (such as the HPV vaccine)
Katelin analyzes how people make personal health and safety choices. She studies how parents see responsibility for their children’s health and sexuality. She also looks at gendered norms in health practices and decision-making.
She recently investigated BC residents’ COVID-19 vaccination attitudes and health behaviours. She explored how people used public and health data during the pandemic.
