Pay your acceptance deposit

After you accept your admission offer for undergraduate studies, you'll need to pay the acceptance deposit.

  • Your acceptance deposit can be paid by any of the methods indicated on this webpage.
  • Your deposit will appear as a payment on your and be applied to your future tuition fees.
  • Acceptance deposits for undergraduate programs are non-refundable, except where a student's visa application is not approved by the Canadian government (evidence will be required) or where a student does not meet their conditions for admission and is subsequently denied admission. Refunds of an acceptance deposit are subject to a $250 processing fee.

Online bill payment (Canadian banks only)

Follow your Canadian bank or financial institution's instructions to add UVic as a payee, then submit your tuition payment.

  • Payee: search for "51勛圖". The name should show up as "51勛圖 Tuition", but may be slightly different at your bank.
  • Account number: use your UVic student number (e.g. V0XXXXXXX).

Please allow at least 1-2 business days for your online bill payment to be processed into your tuition account. You can check to see if payment has been processed by logging into Online tools.

Interac/debit card (Canadian banks only)

To pay with an Interac/debit card from a Canadian bank or financial institution, visit the Tuition Office in the Jamie Cassels Centre, A-Wing (first floor).

Interac/debit payments are only accepted at the following times:

  • 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Monday - Friday, excluding statutory holidays

Credit card (international students only)

If you're an undergraduate student who will pay international tuition fees at UVic, you can pay your acceptance deposit online with a credit card.

  • Each transaction will include an additional 2.75% fee for the credit card processing.
  • Credit card can only be used for the acceptance deposit. All future tuition fees must be paid by other methods.

To pay by credit card, follow the instructions provided by UVic Financial Services.

Cheque, money order or bank draft

Tuition payments can be paid by cheques, money orders or bank drafts in Canadian funds.

  • Make sure your payment is made out to 51勛圖.
  • Write your student number on the front of the cheque, money order or bank draft.

Delivery options

If you mail or courier your payment, make sure you send it with plenty of time before the deadline.

Visit the Tuition Office in the Jamie Cassels Centre, A-Wing (first floor).

Convera GlobalPay

The Convera GlobalPay for Students service allows you to arrange tuition payments in your own currency.

  • Your payment is immediately converted to Canadian dollars, avoiding uncertainty with future exchange rates.
  • There are no transaction fees from Convera or UVic (though you may be charged a fee by your bank).

To make a payment using Convera GlobalPay for Students:

  1. Access the  system using your UVic student number and preferred contact email address.
  2. For "1-Tuition Fees" enter the amount owing on your tuition account summary.
  3. Select your local currency. The amount owing in your local currency will be automatically calculated.
  4. Select who is making the payment from the "Who is Paying" drop-down list and complete the required payment details fields. If the payer is different from the student, you can enter payer details here.
  5. Confirm your quote by agreeing to the total cost in your home currency and agree to the conditions.
  6. Payment instructions will be sent to the email address provided. Print the payment instructions, take them to your bank and follow the instructions to transfer the required amount to Convera. Note: the payment must be completed within 72 hours. If the 72 hour period has elapsed and you have not made the payment at your bank, go back to the  site to obtain a new quote. The expiry date is noted on the payment instructions page.

Once funds have been transferred to Convera, they will be credited to your UVic account in Canadian dollars.
