Minor in Public Administration
Our minor programs are designed for students in other UVic undergraduate programs.
The Minor in Public Administration consists of 6 courses, each worth 1.5 units, for 9 units in total.
This minor offers a broad view of the public and non-profit sectors. Study applied policy analysis, public sector or local government management and open doors to co-op and other employment opportunities after graduation.
Core courses
- ADMN 312 - Leading and Managing in Public and Non-Profit Sectors
- ADMN 330 (or ICDG 301) - Indigenous Governance in Canada
or
ADMN 331 - Governance for Planetary Health
If you take both ADMN 330 and 331, only one will count towards your elective requirements.
*You may substitute an ADMN elective for a policy course if you have completed POLI 351 or 364 as part of a political science major.
Elective courses
You’ll select 2 elective courses worth 3 units. Choose from the ADMN course list and POLI 365.
